As we commence each new week we are offered a time to focus on the future – to draw upon lessons learned from the past and to consider how we will step into the remainder of the year.
It is a time for reflection, planning and action.
It is an opportunity to put aside those things that bind and hold us back, so that we can move forward and become the people that Christ calls us to be.
As we begin our journey of prayer this we offer 3 passages of scripture to reflect upon over the next few days.
The Gift - John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
The Journey - Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
The Creator - Psalm 121:1-8
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
We pray that you will see God move powerfully in your life – May you know his peace – feel his presence and always know His love. In His son’s precious name we pray.
