I often find that engaging in creative activities during prayer time is a way that I can draw close to God. They can provide a space for reflection and an opportunity to focus on scripture.
The effects are incredible, each one unique. When I use this activity I am always reminded of the scripture in Luke 14:34
Marbling works because the ink does not dissolve into the water - if it did the beauty of the pattern would not exist - there would be nothing distinct.
Each time I lift the paper and see the pattern I reflect that as Christians we are not meant to blend in, to conform to the world. Jesus tells us to be as salt and light, witnessing His perfect love.
Once the marbled paper has dried - I make it into book marks or frame small pieces - tangible reminders of God's truth and of the verse in Romans which reminds us:
